Part One (60 minutes) Archive Standard 8 Colour Cine Film, with caption pages and some colour slides. Presented without a narration or soundtrack. Featuring SNCF 241P, 141R, 141TC, 141TB & 050TQ

Part Two (17 minutes) Archive colour slides, with caption pages, and recordings of 141TA, Le Mont Dore area (1967). and 5 minutes 'Tribute to the 141TB' (mostly repeated material) with recordings of 141TB on Bastille line (1969).

Most of the 8mm colour cine film and colour slides presented in this programme, were taken during the last few years of S.N.C.F. regular service steam operation. Nevertheless quite a number of interesting classes were still working, such as 241P 140C, 050TQ, 141TC, 141TB and the SNCF workhorse 141R.

One the most fascinating sequences in this programme, is a series of 'Running Alongside' shots of a 141TC on a Noon train from Paris Nord. They were taken from the other Noon 141TC departure to Persan Beaumont.

The mighty 4-8-2s of class 241P are shown at Le Mans and Nantes. Probably the last area of France they graced with their presence.

Although the 141TB were not as elegant as the 141TC, they added interest to the Paris Bastille line. In this programme we have film taken from the cab of 141TB.484, which shows the line to Boissy just months before electrification.

The fine cine film from Phil Tatt & Richard Wiseman help broaden this programme. John Toy's great colour slides complete the show.
