January 30 - Prineville OR: Lerro Productions photo charter on City of Prineville Railway with 1923 vintage Mount Emily Shay #1. This is the only scheduled operation of the Mt. Emily Lumber Co. Shay #1 for 2014. Confirmed to run

February 5 - 6 - Carson City NV: Lerro Productions photo charter on Virginia & Truckee with McCloud #18 and V&T #29. Confirmed to run.
February 7-9 and 14-16 - Ely NV: winter photo shoot on Nevada Northern.
February 15 - 16 - Durango CO: Durango & Silverton winter photographers special on Sunday. Night photo shoot on Saturday evening.
February 17 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-2 4960 scheduled to operate the round trip to Grand Canyon.
March 2014March 9 - Sunol CA: Niles Canyon Railway 2014 photo event. For details - Niles Canyon Railway
March 15 - Owosso MI: Pere Marquette 2-8-4 #1225 "Return to Rails" excursion from Owosso to Clare MI, then on to Alma to be wyed, and return. Now reported to be diesel hauled for part of trip.
March 29 - Portland ME. Narrow gauge 0-4-4 #4 will operate during one day railfan event before retirement.
March 29/30 - Chattanooga TN. Norfolk Southern and Tennessee Valley Railway Museum trip to Attalla AL on Saturday 29 and to Oneida TN on Sunday 30 with Southern Railway 2-8-0 630 and diesel assistance. 21st Century Steam website now confirming #630 will not be available for these trips - NS Southern heritage diesel 8099 will substitute

April 5/6 - Bristol Virginia. Norfolk Southern and Tennessee Valley Railway Museum trip to Radford Virginia on Saturday 5 and to Bulls Gap TN on Sunday 6 with Southern Railway 2-8-0 630 and diesel assistance.
April 12/13 - Grundy West Virginia. Norfolk Southern and Tennessee Valley Railway Museum trips to Devon West Virginia with Southern Railway 2-8-0 630 and diesel assistance.
April 12 - 13 Los Angeles CA: AT&SF 3751 excursion from LA to San Bernardino on Saturday, returning to LA on Sunday, in conjunction with San Bernardino Railroad Days event.
April 18 - 20 - Wellington OH: 'Leviathan' replica operating on Lorain and West Virginia Railway with Lake Shore Railway Association.
