July 1 - October 19 - Alamosa CO. 9am daily steam excursion to La Veta and return arr. Alamosa 5.45pm.
July 4 - Antonito CO: D&RGW #315 2-8-0 'Stock Car Special' to Osier and return preceeded by 'Goose' motor #5.
July 4 - Freeport Illinois: Silver Creek & Stephenson Railway operate 36 ton Heisler built in 1912, runs on 1.7 miles of ex-Milwaukee Road track.
July 5 - Scranton PA: Steamtown special steam excursion to Moscow. Depart Scranton 1pm, return 3pm.
July 5 - Saturdays until October 25 - Boone IA, Chinese JS 2-8-2 #8419 runs each Saturday departs 1.30pm and 4.00pm.
July 6 - Scranton PA: Steamtown special steam excursion to Tobyhanna. Depart Scranton 11am, return 3pm.
July 7 - Antonito CO: D&RGW #315 2-8-0 freight special to Chama, bus return.
July 9 - Chama NM: D&RGW #315 2-8-0 two freight trips to Cumbres.
July 10 - Cass WVa, steam excursion between Cass and Elkins will be run. This trip is limited to 175 passengers and will be the first ever to make this twelve hour plus, sixty-seven mile trek behind steam over some of the most rugged and photogenic mountain railroading in the east. The trip will originate in Elkins. There will be a bus ride to Cass and steam train return.
July 12 - Scranton PA: Steamtown special steam excursion to Moscow. Depart Scranton 1pm, return 3pm.
July 12 and 13 - extra trip on July 13 Tunkhannock PA: Reading & Northern 9am departure 4-6-2 #425 powered excursion to Jim Thorpe and return.
July 17 - Cheyenne: UP 4-8-4 #844 positioning move to Denver.
July 16-21 (date change) - Skagway Alaska - Excursions on White Pass & Yukon.
July 19 - Chama NM: Moonlight special departing Chama 3pm to Osier, returning approx 11.15pm.

August 29 - 31 - Scranton PA: Lackawanna Railfest 2008. Includes excursion to Moscow PA on Saturday 30.

September 18 - October 9 - North Platte NE: UP 4-6-6-4 #3985 on display at North Platte Railfest 2008. Departs Cheyenne 8am September 18 to North Platte. 3985 will continue from North Platte to St. Paul.

Returning from San Diego to LA 8th Street yard, from where private cars will continue to San Pedro. September 22 - UP 4-6-6-4 #3985 North Platte dep 8am to Fremont.
September 22, 23 - Alamosa CO - Trains Unlimited with ex SP #1744 to La Veta Pass. Passenger train first day, photo freight second day. September 23 - UP 4-6-6-4 #3985 Fremont dep 9am to Boone.

October 18, 24, 25, 26 - Freeport Illinois: Silver Creek & Stephenson Railway operate 36 ton Heisler built in 1912, runs on 1.7 miles of ex-Milwaukee Road track.
October 18 and 19 - Iowa City and Rock Island: Iowa Interstate Railroad's QJ 2-10-2's power a freight from Iowa City to Rock Island, and then each takes a passenger excursion, one to Silvis Illinois, and the other to Walcott Iowa on October 18. On the Sunday they will double-head a one way excursion from Rock Island to Iowa City.

November 8 - Mineral WA: Mt Ranier Scenic Railroad photo freight featuring Climax #10 and a mixed freight train from Mineral to Morton and back and will be an all day event. The passenger train, featuring the Alco #17 2-8-2T and/or the NP #7012A and newly repainted passenger cars based on the Milwaukee Road paint scheme will shuttle passengers between the run-by locations.
