This evocative photograph was donated to the Nine Elms website by the late Jim Sullivan and it is fitting that we reproduce it at this time in his memory. Taken at Waterloo on the 23rd November 1952, 0-6-0 Class 0395 No. 30577 is seen here alongside 4-6-2 Class MN No. 35010 'Blue Star', the occasion was the 'RCTS West Surrey Rail Tour'. From left to right Jim Sullivan, Bert Hooker and Phil Jarman are seen on platform 11.
