Jim Lester photographs This photo is of the crew that were involved in the 'Charles and Diana' train from London Waterloo to Romsey after the wedding on 29th July 1981, standing in front of electro-diesel locomotive 73142 'Broadlands'. Left to right - Driver's Assistant Paul Stoneman - Inspector Cyril Stevens - Driver Bill Turner - Guard 'Sailor' Fountain. Bill was my driver in the 'Pilot Gang' 1962/3 for almost a year before I went into the 'Top Link' with Alf Hurley. Actually he became the 'Royal Driver' after Alf's retirement.
